here's how it goes, you and me.

anyone heard the GREAT news? i succeeded in getting an apartment in the city! :) moving in this friday! which is great. can't really sleep. can't wait to organize everything and buy new things. how exciting it is to make a new home! and this time puimay and sarah will be with me! god. i'm so excited i can't contain myself. and cleaning! :D

don't expect me to give you much attention this weekend. i want to have a house warming party though. will have to check with sarah and puimay though. :)

so uni starts next week. and my timetable is still full of issues. since i JUST changed my electives again. i swear. uni is driving me mad even before i've attended a single class. i hope they can process the change by tmr, but knowing aussies, they don't work on saturdays. so earliest will be monday which is the first day of school. so i guess i'll just have to wing it.

had rich maha today. which is the closest we can get to mamak food. 2 meat dishes, 2 briyani rice, garlic naan and 3 teh ais came up to 47ausd. which is more than 100ringgit. how ridiculous. but hell, when u miss msian food, you'll do pretty much anything!

okay. i walked a lot today. so i am turning in. but i will blog after i'm all settled into my place. how bloody exciting. i love my life.

the jungle woman blogs

nothing can compare to when you roll the dice and swear your love for me.

*or something like that

so, first time i'm blogging since arriving back in the land down under. wen is frustrated because she can't get into the subject handbook for melb uni, hence cannot get the subject codes to enter into her enrolment site. sigh.

i'm staying in oakleigh. this place is kinda cool. now chadstone has become my second home. speaking of which, it has a wonderful oyster bar that serves fresh oysters for ridiculously cheap prices. and i can eat oysters! no rash no allergies. how fun is that. or maybe i can only eat it if it's really really fresh? wat'd you guys think?

well, uni life is as complicated as i thought it'd be. cuz i'm doing a diploma in language while i'm getting my bcom done. which will increase my standard 3 years to 4. so may be reconsidering it. which means i gotta check out the breadth subjects offered. and decide by friday. fck. time is running out!!!

okay. i shall reblog when i have more time and pm aint trying to sleep.

till then, cheerios!

new life, old friends

so. the day has arrived. or rather the day before. i'm not gonna be blogging tmr at 6am. that's just too weird. not to mention my brain would STILL be asleep.

someone asked, am i excited about uni?
i said, not really.

that got me thinking why. the conclusion-i was in denial. about leaving, and starting on the serious part that determines my future. i mean. UNI! tertiary education. there's no such thing as quarternary education. or whatever the word should be. last stage. and then i'll be thrust into the corporate world. to fend for myself, with no mummy and daddy support. by support i mean allowance. even if they wanted to, i would not want it. it's just sad to be working and still need money from the parents. it's beyond sad, it's pathetic.

i'm more apprehensive than excited. i mean trinity was practically melb uni. so yeah, i'm sure life wouldn't be that different, yes?we'll see when i do start uni classes. in my head, uni classes are more messy and confusing. i still have no idea how they calculate the required points to graduate. no worries though, thomas WILL EXPLAIN! i've adopted him as my new older brother. lol. maybe adopt is the wrong word. but gimme a break. it's late and my vocab is bad.

this is how i spent the last day in msia.

woke up, and lazed in bed while eating yong tau foo. and ate loads of my favourite yong tau foo, zhao sui gao. :D yummy yumm yumm. started watching 2 1/2 men again. until about 2.30. then got ready to go to SUBANG for my fav desert. CENDOL with PULUT. omg the yumminess nearly killed me. i went with yin and shark. haha. and they surprised me by buying me tako yaki. another of my fav food. dropped yin home. and laughed a lot they way back to her house. she has the weirdest things to say.

dropped by my grandma's house. yes she has passed away but i refuse to rename it as my 'grandpa's house'. to see my lovely grandaddy. i'll miss him. i actually went without my parents telling me. that shows how much i love him. wish he could get better and come visit me. but it's a very far fetched idea.

went home to pick my mum, and came back to my grandma's house to watch huan zhu ge ge while holding grandpa's hand. den had dinner at kampachi. lots of salmon. and salmon skin rolls. god i love salmon. i may one day become like the guy who had worms in his brain from all the raw fish.

had to go home to change and sped off to bukit kiara to meet up with the important people of my life. sent pm yin shark and clar  to pm's house. while they argued about me buying WHO the cake. they said i cheated their feelings cuz i said to each of them 'i bought you cake'. haih. they're so greedy. seriosuly you should have heard yin shark and clar's squeals from the back of the car. greedy bitches. :D

den realized i had 20minutes to reach home. mummy said to be home by 11. so off i sped. and i arrived home with 5 minutes to spare. :D hartamas to ampang man.

burnt cd's for the parents. drank some weird concoction to 'cool me down'. and here i am. typing this.

i guess it's time i conclude this. my wonderful 2 1/2 months of holiday. back to the books. don't really relish the thought after this holiday of pure unadulterated fun. had great fun in msia. food and friends. the two f's.

stumbled across this song again. brought back wonderful memories of form 2. and that person that found this song for me.

angel by amanda perez
It's been five months since you went away
Left without a word and nothing to say
When I was the one who gave you my heart and soul
But it wasn't good enough for you, no
So I asked God

God send me an angel
From the heavens above
Send me an angel to heal my broken heart
From being in love
'Cause all I do is cry
God send me an angel
To wipe the tears from my eyes

And I know it might sound crazy
But after all that I still love you
You wanna come back in my life
But now there is something I have to do
I have to tell the one that I once adored
That they can't have my love no more
Cause my heart can't take no more lies
And my eyes are all out of cries

God send me an angel
From the heavens above
Send me an angel to heal my broken heart
From being in love
'Cause all I do is cry
God send me an angel
To wipe the tears from my eyes

Now you had me on my knees
Begging God please to send you back to me
I couldn't eat, I couldn't sleep
You made me feel like I could not breathe
Now all I wanted to do was to feel your touch
And give you all my love
But you took my love for granted
Want my lovin' now
But you can't have it
God

God send me an angel
From the heavens above
Send me an angel to heal my broken heart
From being in love
'Cause all I do is cry
God send me an angel
To wipe the tears from my eyes

Oh God, send me (God send me an angel)
An angel (wipe the tears from my eyes) Oh baby
Send me an angel from the heavens above
Send me an angel (God send me an angel)
From being in love (send me an angel)
Oh God, send me an angel
Send me an angel (send me an angel)
Ooohhhh..

you can save me, from the (wo)man i've become.

...now let me show you the shape of my heart...

isn't it weird that a song can conjure up so many different memories and emotions?

we can be chatting about the most inane things while a song is playing and totally forget about it. and then. years later, when that song plays, you recall that particular conversation? or that very same feeling you had towards the person that you heard the song with? i studied psych before. i think it's called state dependent memory. or some fancy thing like that. the human psyche is just plain amazing.

however, the issue i'm addressing is this song phenomenon. it's amazing how that favourite song of yours can suddenly become the most hated song on the planet just because of the memories attached to it. or how a bad song can bring a drugged up smile on your face just because of the emotions that you experienced with people while that song played. or how memories come flooding back to you when the very beginning of the song starts up, things you long thought you've forgotten, which are usually random and inconsequential but somehow manage to either perk up or dampen your day.

another weird thing, is that those pesky little memories don't appear until the person isn't with you. when you're surrounded by everyone, a song is just a song. okay, yeah sure, sometimes a song has really forceful memories, where when it plays, EVERYONE will remember that particular event. but hell, everyone has different memories and live different lives. so one song may mean happiness to one person, and the total opposite to another.

a fantastic example. queen of my heart by westlife.

or, everything by michael buble.

or maybe, in the ayer by i can't remember who.

just to name a few.

ANYWAY, time to change the subject.

it's time to pack.  i have no hand luggage. and no packing list. i am trembling. feel so lost and disorganized. something wen is not accustomed to feeling. so guess wat. tonight will be a long late night. again. should be used to it by now. but i still have fantastically dark circles underneath my eyes.

today, was the weirdest day ever. had to wake up at some stupid hour, 8.00 to make it in time to reach pm's house to give her dad something. i was so paranoid i'd wake up late i actually woke up at 6.42am. had to keep forcing myself back to sleep. i think i woke up around 4 times. so i zoomed to hartamas. okay, zoom could be the wrong word. considering the hellish kl morning jam. arrived, and gave it to pm who was all snuggled up in her bed. tried to sleep at her house, but couldn't cuz i had a dental appointment at 3. YES I KNOW 3pm is far away from 9ish, but wen is paranoid. if you don't know this by now, you are not my friend. so i went home. and was sleepy got honked by a stupid merc c class. bah. den fell back to sleep.

woke up at 1ish. and was seized by some crazy notion that i didn't go to pm's house. was panicking like mad.reached for my handphone and everything, then suddenly i realized that i did that. relief. lol. the retarded wen.

and now i need to make a packing list. the joy. i am not being sarcastic. i love lists.

loved you once, love you still; always have, always will

i have a big big moisquito bite on my upper lip. and one below my lower lip. first they targeted my arms and thighs. even my butt. now they're getting hornier and want my kiss. stupid little buggers.

so anyway, i'm leaving this place in 5days. on one hand, i can't wait to pack up and go. however, i feel a little tug at my heart whenever i think about boarding the plane and saying farewell to this country. oh who am i kidding, saying farewell to this country is nothing. it's the people. i don't wanna name names cuz people have be offended if a) they're not the first and b) they don't appear on my list. just for argument's sake, let's say i'll miss all the people i've seen recently.

which reminds me. i have not seen lisha and meychyi! :( my little clorox girl and my weird buttwhacker friend.

i haven't eaten all the food i wanna eat. haven't seen all the people i wanna see. obviously have NOT moved on from any of the high school dramas and memories. thought i was over it when i was in melbourne, but guess what. the moment i touched down on malaysian soil, it all came rushing back. and have plagued my every waking moment and haunted my dreams.

don't get me wrong. i have tried. i have tried so very hard. but i guess some things and some people just never change. no matter how you hope and pray and want them to. and yes, i know i'm being cryptic about who i'm talking about, but hell, a girl has got to have some secrets yeah? and i'm definitely not the kind to air dirty laundry on my blog. it's just very unbecoming. i'm such a lady aren't i?

my heart has never been so full of emotions in a year. my one year in melb was practically a god send. seriously, whoever said that being a teenager is easy was probably born as an adult. back in malaysia, constant tugging of different emotions:anger, hurt, sadness, joy, frustration, betrayal, mortification etc is now a norm. back to those drama-filled days of high school eh.

so yeah, can't wait to get back to melb and leave it all behind. 2 and 1/2 months here is about all i can stomach.

but. i cannot deny that the friends here are good. they got my back yo. and it's been really great hanging with them constantly, and the trust is there. what with all the shit we've been through in high school, it's easy to share loads of bullshit with them. i mean. i can practically tell them anything. and some of them are even willing to go all the way to segambut with me to try bak kut teh. :) and to sacrifice a few bucks to eat mexican with me. or to not go on a school trip. or call me out the very minute i arrive at klia to go eat cake in alexis. seriously, you just don't get that kind of friends after a year. this comes from many years. many many many days spent together, hating the same people (principles and hormonal teachers). sucks that i can't pack them all into a luggage and bring them to melb. wouldn't it be just glorious to have them locked in a cupboard at my apartment, ready to be taken out to play with whenever i want. :D

well i guess life isnt just black and white anymore. the grey area is getting bigger and bigger as the decisions get more important, and life just doesnt hand you what you want without strings being attached. growing up isnt as cracked up as it's supposed to be.

till next time, happy valentine's! hopefully cupid's arrow pierces the one you love.

starry starry night

i looked up at the sky tonight. and i saw stars. it's been a while since i've seen stars. and they can still cheer me up as they always do.

looking at them, i remembered this movie i watched, which i'm sure loads are people are familiar with. it's called, The Lion King. mufasa was telling simba that when great kings die, their souls become stars to watch over the new king. i wonder whether that's true. i mean, scientifically i know that stars are balls of energy, but in a religious sense. maybe souls do exist and whenever they die, they go up to the sky (heaven) and watch over us.

which brings to mind a very weird issue. if you think about all the famine, wars and violence happening around the world today, you have got to wonder what they are doing up there. maybe they're having a decade's long party? i think time flows pretty differently up there. it could be that an hour in the skies is equivalent to about a decade or so? kinda like narnia and the real world. cs lewis is a great great writer. i remember religiously reading his books throughout my childhood.and finding myself very entertained by the fictional world he created. i think i may have read those books (all seven of them if i'm not mistaken) about a gazillion times. along with harry potter. i have no idea why, but these fictional worlds fascinate me.makes me feel all gooey inside. and happy. especially with the existence of magic. magic that always helps people. :)

great news! i have finished my puzzle. the first ever puzzle i ever remember doing. :) and people thought i did not have enough patience to finish it. boo to you!

ANYWAY, it's pretty late now so i should get off this chair and sleep.

i'm leaving in 8 days. kinda sad about it, especially considering the fact that i won't be having yummy cendol in a long long long time. but hell, uni!!

i shall hope that i don't roll off my bed tonight. or ever.
